Tips For Choosing The Perfect Hairstyle For Your Wedding

These days, there are so many types of weddings so as there are brides. It makes sense for the bride's dress, make up and of course, hair to suit the theme of the wedding. Here are some hairstyle tips that would work with different kinds of weddings.

REGISTRY OFFICE WEDDING
This often is a simple affair with only a few friends and family. A simple updo, or even your own hair decorated with a strategically placed hair accesory would be ideal.

TRADITIONAL WEDDING
Traditional wedding attire varies from tribe to tribe. But there are two broad choices for hairstyles in this case which is either you go traditional all the way and get the hair done in cornrows, knots or even with thread or just style your hair if you want since it is going to be covered up anyway.

WHITE WEDDING
A white wedding with bridal train, five-tier cake and so on deserves drama when it comes to hair, so updos with extensions that allow elaborate twist at the back of the head are popular, as are jewelled hair accessories from tiaras to barrettes.

The co-founder of a Singapore church and five other leaders were sentenced to jail terms of up to eight years on Friday, for fraudulently diverting millions of dollars to support his wife's pop singing career.

The mix of faith and fraud has fascinated tightly-regulated Singapore, where such cases are rare in an affluent city-state with little tolerance for corruption.

Senior pastor Kong Hee heads City Harvest Church, one of a growing number of Singapore's megachurches preaching a "prosperity gospel" that blends spiritual and material aspirations.

Six church officials were convicted last month of diverting nearly S$51 million ($36 million) in funds to advance the career of Kong's wife, Ho Yeow Sun.

They were sentenced on Friday to jail terms of between 21 months and eight years, depending on how involved they were in the fraud. The jail terms were delayed to January next year, giving the defendants time to appeal.

Kong was arrested in 2012 and charged with criminal breach of trust and falsifying accounts. His wife, the co-founder and executive director of the church, was not charged in the case.

He stated that it was easy for him during his tenure as a military head of state to arrest and put those alleged corrupt individuals in protective custody for them to prove their innocence but the dictates of the rule of law and due process had slowed him down in prosecuting corrupt people in this dispensation. Your Dogs Spend More Than N18,000 A Month, Murray Bruce Reminds Governors

he senator representing Bayelsa-East senatorial district, Ben Murray-Bruce in a series of tweets have reminded Governors that their dogs at State houses spend more than N18,000 a month for upkeep, how much more human beings. He urged them to eradicate the thought of them not willing to pay the minimum wage henceforth, saying that will be a act of wickedness and inhuman.

“I know for the fact that even dogs at Government House cost more than N18,000 to take care of in a month. How much more a human being?,’’ he tweeted. More tweets below.

“It is unjust for a government to contemplate reducing workers’ pay of N18,000. What can that amount buy in today’s Nigeria?

“A worker with a family earns less than a member of the NYSC who earns 19,800. Reducing his pay is unconscionable. A man earning N18,000 struggles to pay rent, feed his family and pay school fees. To reduce his pay is to punish his family.

“In the last four years, the cost of food and fuel has gone up. Can we, in good faith, make a case for the reduction of workers’ pay?”

“As my lords are undoubtedly aware, corruption transfers from public coffers to private pockets, resources required to deliver social and economic justice.

“Government’s attempts to recover such assets in accordance with the law are often faced with dilatory tactics by lawyers sometimes with the apparent collusion of judges.
