Shell Set To Sack 10,000 Workers
As its fortunes dwindled due to falling oil prices, Royal Dutch Shell Plc is to sack 10,000 people in an effort to bolster margins.
Shell’s drive to improve competitive performance is delivering at the bottom line. Operating costs have reduced by $4 billion, or around 10 per cent in 2015, and the company expects Shell’s costs to fall again in 2016 by a further $3 billion.
Synergies from the BG combination will be in addition to that. Together, these actions will include a reduction of some 10,000 staff and direct contractor positions in 2015-16 across both companies, as streamlining and integration of the two companies continue.

[PHOTOS] 7-Year Old Boy Marries Dog In India
A seven-year-old boy has been forced to marry a female dog in a rural Indian village because his horoscopes foretold his first wife would die young.
Mukesh Kerayi had also grown a tooth in the upper part of his mouth - which, according to traditional tribal beliefs in Jharkhand, India - is bad luck.
So with all signs pointing to an ominous future, the family made him marry a dog so it would officially become his first wife.
Despite government efforts to the contrary, many of the region's tribal communities still follow horoscopes and other superstitions religiously.

See What Zambian Pastor Said About Prophet TB Joshua
Zambian Pastor Conrad Mbewe Says TB Joshua’s Predictions Are Demonic, Prophecies False.“TB Joshua’s Predictions Are Demonic, His Prophecies Are False”- Zambian Pastor Conrad Mbewe Blasts SCOAN Founder
Well, in the last few years, the prophet has become notorious for prophecies related to politicians or football (what Americans call “soccer”). The internet is awash with news items claiming that “sources” have told them that the prophet has predicted the death of a president or the final score sheet of a pending football match. Hence, in the streets of Africa, TB Joshua has become the latest wonder-boy. Everyone is talking about him.
For instance, “sources” said that TB Joshua predicted that the Zambian national football team would lift the prestigious AFCON Cup early this year. In fact, the “sources” also said he predicted Didier Drogba’s heart-rending penalty miss—which could have buried the hopes of the entire nation of Zambia. So, even if you did not know TB Joshua prior to Zambia’s recent win, his name was added to our staple diet from that point onwards.

Charles Novia's Opinion On Olamide/Don Jazzy Headies Beef
Charles Novia has decided to pen down his thoughts on the Olamide/Don Jazzy 2015 Headies feud and of course trust him to have an entirely different opinion.
The Headies 2015 (which ironically held on the first day of 2016) was an anti-climax after that. And perhaps the public tantrums of both Don Jazzy and Olamide were the highlights of what was before then an above average telecast with glaring lapses which could have been remedied with more precision.
When the artistes nominated in the ‘Next Rated..’ category were shown in a mini-documentary somewhere in the show, taking photo-ops in the Hyundai SUV and pleading for votes from their fans so as to win the prize, I told myself after seeing the earnest expectations on their faces that this category would surely be competitive but would have some bad blood drawn thereafter.

In the early hours of this morning, Reekado Banks won the Next Rated award which comes with a brand new car. A lot of people were expecting Lil Kesh or Kiss Daniel who were also nominated to win the award but the organisers announced Reekado Banks as the winner. So when Olamide had the opportunity of getting on stage again, he lashed out at the organisers for not giving Lil Kesh the award.
Don Jazzy also mounted the stage later when he was called for the Special Recognition award by Tony Okoroji. And openly called on Olamide saying, ‘Egbon Olamide if you want the car come and have it’. This however made the young star very upset, and not getting another opportunity to mount the stage, he took to twitter where he lashed out at Don Jazzy. See tweets below
