Chris Brown Stalker Who Once Claimed To Be His Ex-Girlfriend Arrested At His Home Again

A persistent stalker has been arrested at Chris Brown's home for the second time in five months. Danielle Patti had waited outside the property until the gate opened around 3 a.m. on Thursday, before slipping inside, TMZ reports.

However, she was apprehended by security and held until police arrived.

Brown was home at the time, but it is not known if they interacted. Patti was charged with two counts of trespassing on Friday, and pleaded not guilty in court.

In December, she was also arrested for trespassing at his home; at the time, though, she claimed the two had hooked up, and that she was trying to leave but her vehicle was blocked in.

Aremu Afolayan, the younger brother of renowned film maker, Kunle Afolayan, who has been branded a gigolo has told Yes Magazine why a lot of people refer to him as that and why he won’t still do younger women. EFCC Uncovers How INEC Officials In Rivers, Akwa Ibom, Delta States Collected N675.1m Ahead Of Gov. Polls

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has found over N675.1m in the bank accounts of different Independent National Electoral Commission officials in Rivers, Akwa Ibom and Delta states.

According to the anti-graft agency, the money was received and shared by the officials during the last governorship elections.

Punch correspondents gathered that the Resident Electoral Commissioner in the 2015 election in Rivers State, Mrs. Gesila Khan, and other officials of INEC are already in EFCC custody. Khan was quizzed by the Department of State Services in July last year but was never charged.

Ekiti Doctors Embark On Strike Over 4 Months Unpaid Salaries

Resident doctors in the employment of Ekiti State Government, led by Governor Ayo Fayose have embarked on strike to press for their four months unpaid salaries. While justifying the strike, the Chairman, Nigerian Medical Association, Ekiti chapter, Dr. John Akinbote said;

“People should come out and speak for the doctors. Our strike action is to press home our demand for the payment of four months salaries being owed our members.

“We are all aware of the fuel scarcity and our children are in schools, we have to pay their school fees and also attend to other bills. People will live better if appropriate things are done.

Governor Ikpeazu’s Convoy Attacked By Gunmen in Aba

The increasing state of insecurity in Aba, Abia State, took a new dimension on Wednesday night when Vanguard newspapers reported that Governor Okezie Ikpeazu’s convoy was attacked in an encounter with armed robbers, who were robbing commuters along Aba-Owerri Road.

According to Vanguard the incident took place near Immaculate Junction along the ever busy Aba-Owerri Road, while the governor was coming back to Aba from Umuahia at 8p.m. Though no life was lost, sources said that the security details attached to the governor fired sporadic shots, which scared the robbers away.

According to an eye witness report, the gunmen were robbing a suspected Lagos bound bus, when a pilot security van without siren and amber light approached the area. On sighting the security vehicle, the gunmen were said to have opened fire without knowing that it was the governor’s convoy.

Former Rwandan Politician Gets Life Sentence For Hate Speech During Genocide

A Rwanda court handed a life sentence yesterday to a former senior politician for hate speech aimed at stirring up killings of minority Tutsis during the central African country’s genocide more than two decades ago.

An estimated 800,000 Tustis and moderate Hutus were killed by extremist forces in the then Hutu-dominated regime over a period of 100 days in 1994.

The high court convicted Léon Mugesera, 64, who was then a regional vice chairman in the ruling party, of genocide and crimes against humanity.


During the trial, Mugesera was accused of having referred to the Tutsis as “cockroaches” who should be sent back to Ethiopia.

Boko Haram Offering Different Groups Of Chibok Girls For Ransom

Following the broadcast of the proof of life video showing 15 of the abducted Chibok girls by US cable news network, CNN on Wednesday, reports has confirmed that the 219 girls who were kidnapped from their secondary school in Chibok, Borno State, exactly two years ago have been broken up into groups and are being offered by different Boko Haram cells to federal government negotiators in exchange for huge sums of money.

Their abduction sparked a social media campaign and global outrage which drew attention to the horror of the six-year-old insurgency in the Northeast.

However, the release of the video has added pressure on the federal government to secure their release, with President Muhammadu Buhari promising the parents and relations of the missing girls yesterday that they will be rescued and returned to them.

Arase Warns Policemen, Don't Detain Suspects While Investigation Is On-Going

The Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Solomon Arase on Thursday in Benin, warned operatives of the Edo State‎ Police Command to avoid the practice of detaining people indefinitely to enable them shop for evidence to incriminate them.

He also warned operatives of the Force against interfering in civil offences relating to land matters and the criminalisation of such matters.

‎Arase gave the warning while addressing officers and men of the Command during an official visit to the state.

The IGP who described himself as a strong advocate of intelligence-led policing as well as human rights approach to policing, charged the officers to adhere strictly to the tenets of human rights, as enshrined in the 1999 Constitution.‎

Lagos State Government To Construct Additional Pedestrian Bridge At Ojota

The Lagos State Government has announced that an additional foot bridge would be constructed at Ojota Bus Stop on Ikorodu Road.

This is to complement the existing one in order to contain the recent upsurge in usage by pedestrians.

The Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Steve Ayorinde, disclosed this in a statement yesterday, saying the decision arose out of the need to reduce the long queue of Lagosians using the bridge.

After Criticizing President Buhari’s Trip To China, Fayose Also Does The Same

Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose, has also travelled to China to attend the country’s 119th Import and Export Fair, also known as the Canton Fair, just after he lambasted President Muhammadu Buhari for a trip to the same country.

Justifying the trip, the governor’s media aide, Lere Olayinka, said Fayose had before now travelled out of the country only twice since he assumed office in October 2014,saying his trip to China, which was planned six months ago, would be his third travel outside Nigeria.

Olayinka argued that Fayose’s trip to China was different from that of the President because Mr. Buhari’s
trip was aimed at borrowing $2billion, while the governor would use his to secure partnership with prospective Chinese Investors and technical experts without committing the state to any loan.

The event, scheduled for April 14 and 19, will be staged in Guangzhou.

How President Buhari Sold His House To Get His Child Forex – Adesina

Special adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on media and publicity,Femi Adesina, says the president sold his property to access foreign exchange (forex) for his child’s education.

Adesina, who could not confirm if the president got forex from official sources or the parallel market, said one would have to ask the president himself.

Speaking in an interview with Osasu Igbinedion on The Osasu Show, Adesina said the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), is experiencing a paucity of forex.

Corroborating Adesina’s stance, the president himself had earlier said in an interview with Al Jazeera that it would henceforth be “tough luck” for those who are (or wish to school abroad) to access forex”.

Senate President, Saraki Back At CCT For The Seventh Time

Senate President Bukola Saraki has arrived at the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) where his trial for alleged false declaration of assets continues.

He arrived this morning in company of at least 15 senators.

Saraki wore a flowing white “agbada”, and he sat gently in the second row of benches, which are reserved for senators, as usual.

Some of the senators present are Sam Anyanwu, Dino Melaye, Tayo Alasoadura, and Andy Uba.

This is the seventh time the senate president will appear at the CCT.

PDP Is The Reason We Have Fuel Shortage- Tinubu

Tinubu over the weekend spoke to journalists in Lagos where he said, the former ruling party, PDP is the major reason Nigerians are suffering from fuel shortage. The APC leader said if PDP had done the right thing in the last 16years that it ruled Nigeria, it will not be where it is today. His words;

“We want to stay focused and redirect Nigeria. We want to reverse the decay of 16 years. We are hearing comments from the PDP left and right. We are saying we want to clear the mess they created. For 16 good years, the PDP destroyed the country. We should not be lamenting over petrol queues today if they had seen what was necessary and done what was necessary for this country.

“We can’t be emotional and live in self-denial.  They should have done the Awolowo Road and the Lagos/Ibadan Expressway. If they put priority on our railroad, if they put priority on electricity generation and distribution, we will not be in this mess  today.”

Osun State Doctors To Resume Work Today After 7 Months Of Strike, Says ‘Govt. Yet To Meet Our Demands’

Osun striking medical doctors under the aegis of Association of Medical and Dental Officers yesterday, Sunday 3rd of April, 2016 suspended their seven months strike.

The chairman of the association, Dr Isiaka Adekunle confirmed the suspension of the strike in a telephone
interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Osogbo. He said the doctors would report for duty today.

Adekunle said that though the government was yet to meet any of their demands, their decision to resume work was in response to appeals from well-meaning people of the state.

[PHOTO] Suspect Arrested For Stealing Lagos Electric Cable Denies Allegation

According to Premium Times, a member of a suspected three-man gang that specialises in vandalising the Light Up Lagos Project, an initiative that lights up street lights at night, has told the police that he did not take part in the act.

Lucky Udeagwu who was arrested around the Ogudu area by operatives of the Rapid Response Squad said he works at a construction site at Ikorodu.

The police said in a statement Sunday that‎ the suspects allegedly stole a 35 metre long armoured cable of the Light Up Lagos Project in Ogudu area of the state .

Man Arrested And Charged For Jumping Over White House Fence

A man has been arrested after throwing his backpack and jumping over the White House fence, Secret Service officials say. The man, who has not been named, jumped over the fence around on Friday.

Barack Obama had returned from the Nuclear Security Summit more than four hours before the incident.

The man was immediately taken into custody without incident according to the Secret Service. He was transferred to the DC Metropolitan Police Department and has now been charged with unlawful entry. Regular security checks revealed nothing unusual and the White House resumed normal operations.

Woman Goes Into Premature Labour Thinking She's Having One Baby - And Gives Birth To QUINTUPLETS

An expectant mum who went into labour early thought she was giving birth to just one premature baby - but ended up with five. Manita Singh, 25, had never had an ultrasound when she was admitted to hospital on Saturday at just 26 weeks gone .

But just over half an hour later she had given birth to five healthy, but very tiny, girls. Doctors are now supervising the quintuplets in the hope all of them will survive.

Manita 25, was admitted to hospital in Ambikapur, in Chhattisgarh in eastern India, on Saturday morning.

The babies, all weighing 1.5 kg each, are now under doctor's supervision in the neo-natal Intensive Care Unit.
