I Escaped By The Will Of God- Chief Of Army Staff

Chief of Army Staff, Lt-Gen. Tukur Buratai, yesterday at the National Assembly complex, shortly after attending an interactive meeting called by the Senate Committee on Defence, for service chiefs, spoke briefly to news men about how he escaped during the clash between Army and Shiites on Saturday in Zaria. He said;

“You want to know how I escaped? It was by the will of God that I was able to escape from the place,” he said.

Buratai who insisted the group was violent, stressed that: “I think NTA was there and they aired the clip, it was very clear. They were violent and the clip is there.”


He however advised citizens to be law abiding wherever they are. However, a pic of the Shiites’ leader has been circulating online. The man is believed to be in the custody of the Army at the moment.
