A DEEPER REVELATION

"And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, thou Son of David, have mercy on me" (Mark 10:47)

That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.


In our Focal Scripture, blind Bartimaeus heard that Jesus of Nazareth was passing by; but he wanted to cry out for help and for healing, he referred to Jesus as the son of David. He did not call Jesus what others called Him. His perception of Jesus was above what others seemed to know. When Israelites called 'the son of David', they were indirectly saying that He would sit on the throne of David; it was a higher revelation.

Friend, deepen your revelation about Jesus. Know God beyond what everyone else knows Him to be; Know God more than the people around you have of Him; know God beyond the periphery; seek a deeper insight into the person of Jesus; go beyond the general knowledge that eveyone has and know what others do not know; deepen your knowledge of God.

Blind Bartimaeus connected to Jesus based on a higher revelation and understanding, and he eventually got the result he was looking for. He called Jesus what others didn't call Him, and he got what others didn't get. If your revelation of God remains the same as other people's revelation, you will get what others get; but if you deepen your knowledge of God, He will deepen the release of His benefits to you.

Others only followed Jesus as He passed by, but it was only Bartimaeus that got a miracle; the one who called Jesus by a higher revelation was the one who got something out of Jesus. Your revelation of God is the bedrock of whatever He will release unto you. Knowing more and more of God simply positions you to receive more and more from God.

Seek to know God more than everyone around you does; your deeper revelation is the password to your divine provision.
