Streams Of Joy Daily Devotional - Change Of Story

CHANGE OF STORY

“27. And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table. 28. Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.”
(Matthew 15: 27-28)


That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.

When Jesus began His response to the woman from Tyre and Sidon, He spoke of being called to save the lost sheep of the house of Israel. He referred to children of Israel as children and the Gentiles as dogs. So the woman of Tyre and Sidon, by Jesus’ explanation was considered as a dog. She was considered among those who were not qualified for miracles.

In a matter of time, Jesus turned around and granted the woman her wishes. In one moment, she was called a dog, but in the next moment, she got her miracle. She seemed rejected and everything seemed impossible, but in the next moment, the rejected one became the favoured one. That woman experienced a quick, positive change of fortunes.

Friend, hear God’s prophetic word: your story is about to change. You will move from rejection to acceptance; you will move from mourning to dancing; you will move from being tolerated to being celebrated; you will move from being consoled to being cheered; people may have mocked and laughed at you, but they will soon laugh and dance with you. Your story is about to change for good.

Jesus’ disciples were still around when the story of the woman of Tyre and Sidon changed. Those who opposed/mocked her witnessed her change of story. God says, those who are currently mocking you will soon witness your rising and celebration. Those who think you are finished will still be around to see that you were not finished afterall.

Look beyond every negative story around your destiny and expect a position change soon.
