RESERVED FOR CHILDREN
“But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it to dogs.” (Matthew 15: 26)
That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.
In our Focal Scripture, Jesus affirmed that it is not right to take the children’s bread and cast same to dogs. Jesus simply affirmed that the bread belongs to the children. He affirmed that for the children, the bread is guaranteed and reserved. The children referred to the children of Israel. He referred to those who had a covenant with God. So for those with a covenant with God, the bread was reserved.
Friend, if you have a covenant with God, then your ‘bread’ is reserved. If you have a covenant with God, your miracles are reserved, your next level is reserved, the divine visitation/intervention you need is reserved, your healing is reserved, your testimonies/breakthroughs are reserved, your supernatural surprises are reserved, etc. Your relationship with God ushers you into a life where the desires of others are reserved for you.
When enemy tempts you to move from being a child to being a dog, he is simply pushing you into a position where you will have no automatic access to your inheritance in Christ. When the enemy pushes you to break your covenant with God, he just doesn't want you to receive what God has pre-ordained for you.
If you are a faithful ‘child’, yet your table is devoid of ‘bread’, ask God for your own portion of the children's ‘bread’. Ask God to bring you testimonies, miracles, breakthroughs, divine visitations, etc that are the right of everyone who has committed full time to Jesus.
Remember, Jesus Himself affirmed that the bread belongs to the ‘children’. Choose to be a child of God, dare to do His will, and you will enjoy the ‘bread’ that is reserved for God’s children.
Pray With Me: Lord, I choose to be Your child; may I enjoy my portion of the children’s bread, in Jesus’ name!
